Been a while

Hey all, I disappeared again. I have LOTS to catch up on with all your beautiful work, my followees. (Hope you all remember me, lol)

Quick run down, I’m at uni studying animation now, but it was a hard decision to make. Because I hate education, but I’ve always wanted to learn animation. The opportunity just never presented itself to me before. So, been busy with that, been busy with a lot of things. Moved home, too, no longer at the lake.

Missed Valenwind like WHOA, I haven’t managed to draw/read/write much at all, but still planning to. That remake is getting nearer, yessssss 8 )

So… here’s a thing. A LONG awaited art trade with @sawako1826 who will hopefully forgive me because my hand hurts after this, lol. I completely binned that first sketch I showed you, there was just no umph in it. Hope you like this one, I will neaten and colour it one day, but I really wanted to end your wait and show you now.

So the artist’s prattle: Redesigning Cid’s outfit for KH style really threw me, because all I could see was what he already has. But I tried to keep it to plain clothes, since he is a plain-clothes guy, but incorporate his mechanical side. Also, I head canon Cid is left handed, so he wears a protective bracer on his one arm, and fingerless gloves for dexterity and fighting - since KH is overridden with bad guys.

Vincent is sans cape because obviously Cloud stole it, the theiving bastard. BUT I added all the tendrils of Chaos essence around his body because Chaos’ power is reacting to all the Darkness, and manifests himself in wispy shapes. Also, I bet he’s harder to control in KH. I gave him a smaller pair of wings which he can’t retract, too. I bet he gets attacked a lot for looking like a Darkness creature, haha… I do love to torment him.

Umm… anything else…. The boots were fun to draw, even if I did do the buckles the wrong way round. Oh, and yes, I totally cheated and used my own older gun lineart. Copied and pasted that sucker right in there.

So, moved home, got internet working, have the family Mac indefinitely and now it’s time to get the art I owe done. This is for someone I’m not gonna say, so it’ll be a surprise.

On another note, I haven’t drawn Vinnie is way too long and I had such a hard time even with the sketch stage = =

So, a week ago I got back from a few weeks holiday in Australia. It was AMAZING. I didn’t think I’d be able to hold up much ‘cause of the heat, but I survived - hah! I loved it so much, but the only thing that puts me off from going again is the torturous flight length.

My friends and I managed to cram in so much. We went to Kalgoorlie where one of them used to live, so we met the Australian family, and then back to Perth to explore. Then on to Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef. Holy shit was that awesome. I can’t find my underwater camera, though = = it’s gotta be in ONE of our cases somewhere… And finally, for the last of our trip we went to Sydney for a few days. Spectacular holiday, would go again in a heartbeat if they invent teleport machines.

Got a lot of catching up to do on Tumblr.

hello I can eat solid foods again (sort of). I’ve spent the last 4 days either passed out or reading really disgustingly old FF7 fanfic because I was too heavily drugged up on pain medication to remember what I was doing in my current save file lmao

At least i finally started to draw the charms I was itching to do (the first one spawned out of probably 80 valenwind fics I trudged thru)

I have a whole set planned out for some of the cons I’ll be at this summer :0 

In the meantime I’m gonna try to get some more orders packed between now and thursday, work permitting, because I need to go back and have my other 2 wisdom teeth extracted, and another broken tooth on the 10th
